Will my vehicle be driven at any point during shipping?
Vehicles are only driven for loading and unloading onto the corresponding transport and at the moment of pickup and delivery, always according to the circumstances and to local regulations or restrictions. Our recommendation: note your vehicle mileage at pickup and delivery. Any discrepancy should be put in writing and signed by both the driver and you (the customer).
How does door-to-door service work?
We transport your car from a point A to a point B that you specify, quickly and safely. With this service it is important to know that some residences, towns or states do not allow us to reach the exact location; if that is the case, an appointment will be arranged with the trucker at a spot convenient for you, such as a parking lot or shopping center, and the vehicle will be delivered there.
What happens if I cannot be at the pickup or delivery location?
Someone must be present at the pickup or delivery location to sign the BOL (Bill of Lading). If you do not have a third party who can receive or hand over the vehicle, it will be taken to the nearest terminal (which may be several miles from your location) and you will be responsible for picking it up or transporting it to the desired location.
Do you transport pets?
We do not transport pets. We only provide services related to car transport.
Can I ship my car if it does not run (inoperable)?
Your vehicle must be in good working order (operable) to be driven; this includes the ability to move forward, reverse, brake and steer. If it is not operable, an additional charge applies since loading and unloading it from the truck or ship requires more physical effort.
What insurance does my car have when shipping with Car Freight Shipping?
For ground shipping of your car, all-risk insurance is included in the quote. For ocean shipping, we can offer marine insurance with different coverage levels at an additional cost. Please check with our sales advisors for more information and for terms and conditions.
